Where do YOU fit into the elemental cosmology of life?
Join Kristina Cotran and Kathy Bolte this Fall for a weekend in the hills of the beautiful Murrieta Valley, overlooking the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve, as we dive deep into the elemental teachings of the Dagara Tribe of Burkina Faso, West Africa.
Come . . . immerse yourself in a weekend of transformation, sisterhood, and self-discovery.
The centerpiece of this very special women's weekend will revolve around the teachings of the Dagara Tribe of Burkina Faso, West Africa.
The Dagara people are known for their deep spiritual traditions, communal way of life, and rich cultural heritage. Their society is deeply rooted in spiritual practices, including ancestor veneration, nature reverence, and divination. The Dagara people have existed for several centuries, with their cultural practices and traditions passed down through oral history. Their origins can be traced to ancient African civilizations that predate written records.
The Dagara people emphasize a holistic approach to life, where spiritual, physical, and social aspects are intertwined. Their beliefs about the elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Mineral, and Nature) influence daily life, and their rituals, and are integral to their culture.

Join us as we explore the tribe's cosmology of the elements to understand the power of Fire, Water, Earth, Nature and Mineral. Altars will be created for each of the elements as we explore their power in our lives. We'll combine these ancient teachings with our Western sensibilities to dig deep and gain a better understanding of who we are and how we relate to our world.
The weekend will be filled with story, journaling, discussion, ritual, sisterhood and celebration. Each of us will learn which of the 5 elements we resonate with the most, and whether we are a "Seeker" or a "Keeper" of the element. We will explore the ways in which we can understand our own unique path more fully and take our gifts home with us to further nurture our own lives, our families, and our communities.
Gentle yoga, community drumming, live music, delicious gourmet vegetarian meals, swimming, and some meandering nature walks will be a part of our weekend.
We will gather on Friday afternoon at 2pm through Sunday afternoon at 3pm.
This special retreat will be the perfect way to welcome in the energies of the upcoming 2025 holiday season and set your intentions for your highest expressions of Self for 2026.
